Both wall-mounted and floor-mounted mop sinks have their own benefits but are oriented slightly differently. Wall-mounted options are attached to the wall, typically leaving space underneath, which you can use to store your bucket between mopping sessions. However, they are slightly higher, so it may be more of a challenge to empty heavy buckets for staff. Floor mop sinks offer less storage space underneath but are easier to empty dirty water into.

We recommend spraying it down after each shift with some antibacterial spray and leaving it to settle for 5 to 10 minutes. You can use diluted bleach if you prefer. If there’s any dirt building up, wear gloves to protect your skin from the cleaning products and scrub it with an abrasive sponge or cloth to clean the mop sink more thoroughly. Then, rinse it well with clean water and leave it to dry.

If you don’t already have a tap available that’s compatible with the model of mop sink you’re purchasing, you’ll need to get it installed by a professional. They’ll take care of setting up the drainage and taps if needed and set up everything so it’s compliant. Depending on the level of work required for installation, you may also need a permit to get it installed.
