A 2 burner commercial gas cooktop gives you two open burners to cook on in pots, pans and woks, with a flame you turn up and down by hand. It is the smallest footprint on the line, which is why it suits cafes adding a hot menu, food trucks, bar kitchens and any venue that needs a second cooking point without giving up bench space.

A two burner commercial gas stove is also the usual choice beside a bigger line, for sauces, stocks or a dedicated allergen station. For larger menus, step up to 4 burner gas cooktops or 6 burner gas cooktops.

These are the top FAQs for 2 Burner Gas Cooktops

Where does a commercial 2 burner stove fit best?

Anywhere the line is short or the menu is small. A commercial 2 burner stove sits on a bench or a stainless stand, beside a gas griddle or gas chargrill, and covers the saucepan work those cannot.

If you need an oven underneath as well, commercial gas oven ranges put burners and oven in one footprint.

Benchtop or with a stand?

Most 2 burner units are benchtop. They need a non-combustible surface and clearance to anything flammable, which is why a matching stainless stand is common.

Check the product page for clearances, and plan the gas connection before the bench is built.

Do I need an exhaust hood?

Almost always for gas cooking in a commercial kitchen. Local requirements set the rules, and the hood needs to cover the whole cooking footprint. See commercial kitchen exhaust hoods for options.

Where gas and ducting are not available, commercial induction cooktops are the alternative. The trade-off there is cookware: pans have to be induction compatible, and plenty of chefs prefer judging a flame by eye.

Who installs a gas cooktop?

A licensed gas fitter, every time. Our installation partner can arrange it, and it is the fastest way to get the appliance certified and running.

For bigger pots than a standard burner handles, gas stock pot burners and commercial gas woks are built for that load.

What gas connection does it need?

Natural gas and LPG models are different, and converting one to the other needs a kit and a licensed gas fitter. Check which you are ordering against your supply.

We can arrange installation and certification through our installation partner.

How do I clean burners and trivets?

Lift trivets and burner caps once cool and soak them; clear burner ports with a pin rather than a drill bit. Blocked ports are the usual cause of uneven flame.

Degreasers are in cooking equipment cleaners.
