Commercial ice machine accessories keep a machine producing clean ice and passing audits: water filters, scoops, caddies, drain fittings, sanitising chemicals and replacement parts.

Filtration is the one that matters most. Most manufacturers require a filter, and scale from untreated water is the usual cause of early failure. See commercial ice machines and commercial ice storage bins.

Tell us the make and model and we can match the filter to it - request a callback and we will sort out what your machine takes.

These are the top FAQs for Commercial Ice Machine Accessories

How often should the water filter be changed?

On the interval in the manual, which depends on water quality and volume. Skipping changes costs more in scale damage than the filter saves.

What scoop should I use?

A dedicated ice scoop stored outside the bin in a holder. Leaving the scoop buried in the ice is a common food safety finding.

Caddies for moving ice are in commercial ice caddies.

Do I need special cleaning chemicals?

Ice machines need sanitiser and descaler suited to food contact surfaces. General kitchen cleaners are not a substitute.

See disinfectant and sanitisers.

What spares are worth keeping?

Filters and a spare scoop at minimum. Beyond that, a service agreement usually covers the parts that fail.

Can accessories fix poor ice quality?

Filtration fixes cloudy ice and scale. If ice is soft, small or slow, the problem is usually the machine, the water temperature or the condenser rather than an accessory.

Do dispensers need their own accessories?

They use the same filters and sanitisers, plus the fittings for the dispense mechanism.

See commercial ice dispensers.

What about crushers and caddies?

An ice crusher turns cubes into crushed ice for cocktails; a caddy moves ice without contaminating it.

How do I keep records for audits?

Log sanitising and filter changes with your cleaning records. Auditors look for the schedule as much as the machine.

Thermometers for cold chain checks are in fridge and freezer thermometers.
