Two beers on at once, and nobody changing a keg in the middle of a rush — that is what a 2 tap kegerator is for. A dual tap kegerator or two tap kegerator is the usual choice once a venue has a house lager plus a second style, and a kegerator with 2 taps handles a function bar without a cellar. Delivered anywhere in Australia.

The same unit is sold as a 2 tap beer dispenser, a 2 tap keg fridge or a 2 tap beer keg dispenser. If you want fewer taps, compare the 1 tap models, or see the full commercial beer keg dispensers range.

Silverchef Rent-Try-Buy is available on bar refrigeration if you would rather rent first, with the option to upgrade or hand it back as things change.

These are the top FAQs for 2 Tap Beer Keg Dispenser

Do two taps mean two kegs?

Normally yes, and that is the point: two beers live at once. Check the cabinet's keg capacity on the listing, because the number of taps and the number of kegs that physically fit are specified separately.

If you want two kegs of the same beer running instead, a dual keg beer dispenser is set up for that.

Can both taps run off one gas bottle?

They can, but both beers then share a pressure setting. Where the two styles want different pressures, a secondary regulator lets you set each line separately.

Confirm what regulator arrangement a given model ships with before you order; details are on each listing and in the product documents library.

One tower or two separate taps?

A twin-tap tower keeps both pours in one place and one drip tray, which suits a tight bar. Two separate fonts spread the service points and suit a long bar with two staff.

Match the font height to your glassware; the beer glasses range shows the pour sizes you will be filling.

How cold should it keep the kegs?

Cold enough that the beer pours without foaming and does not warm between pours. The target changes with the beer style, so check the controller range on the product page rather than guessing.

Keeping the glass cold helps as much as the beer; see glass chillers.

How often do the lines need cleaning?

Both lines, on the same cycle, whether or not both have poured. An idle line grows the same deposits as a busy one and will taint the first pour badly.

Keep a line cleaning kit on hand from bar cleaning supplies.

Will a two tap unit fit behind an existing bar?

Measure the depth of the back bar, the height to the underside of the counter and the clearance the font needs above the cabinet. Default to a freestanding unit unless the model is specified for built-in installation.

If the bar is being rebuilt anyway, our fitout team can plan the run.

What else do I need behind the bar?

Ice, glass washing and cold storage for packaged drinks: a commercial ice machine, a glasswasher and bar fridges.

Spirits service needs cocktail shakers and jiggers within reach of the same station.
